New Laptops, Tablets and School Bags Bring Smiles to 400 Students in Hatta

Dubai: Dubai Police helped 400 students in Hatta prepare for the new school year with computers, smart tablets, school bags and educational supplies through the “A Smile in the Classroom” community initiative.

Organised by Hatta Police Station in partnership with Tarahum Charity Foundation at the new Hatta Majlis, the initiative supported students from families in need and those with limited incomes, while sharing their excitement as they prepared to return to school.

More Than School Supplies

Brigadier Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of Hatta Police Station, said humanitarian and community initiatives are an integral part of Dubai Police’s approach, reflecting a role that extends beyond maintaining security and enhancing the sense of safety to building stronger connections with the community and supporting those most in need.

“We are committed to ensuring that humanitarian work has an active and sustainable presence across our community initiatives and programmes, allowing us to reach different segments of society,” Brigadier Al Ketbi said.

“The ‘A Smile in the Classroom’ initiative carries a message that goes beyond providing school supplies. It is about sharing the students’ happiness, supporting them emotionally and encouraging them to begin the school year with a positive spirit and the ambition to succeed and excel.”

400 Students Ready for a New School Year

Brigadier Al Ketbi said supporting 400 students as they prepared to return to school demonstrated the positive impact that cooperation between government, charitable and private organisations can have on people’s lives.

He thanked Tarahum Charity Foundation and Hatta Police Station’s external partners for their support and contribution to the success of the initiative and its humanitarian objectives.

A Day of Learning, Fun and Smiles

The event also featured a range of interactive and entertainment activities for the students, including cartoon characters and a musical performance. Computers, smart tablets, school bags and other school supplies were distributed to the participating students, helping them begin the academic year equipped, encouraged and ready to learn.
