Gandhinagar: IIFA Co-Founder Andre Timmins met Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to discuss the vision for IIFA Rangilo, a new regional IIFA intellectual property (IP) celebrating Gujarati cinema, with its launch planned for 2027.

During the meeting, Timmins shared plans for the new initiative, which aims to showcase the richness and diversity of Gujarati cinema while creating a platform to connect the state's film and creative industries with audiences across India and internationally.

The proposed IIFA Rangilo is also part of a broader vision for Wizcraft in Gujarat, with the company exploring new opportunities and intellectual properties across sports, media, entertainment and the wider creative economy.

The discussions highlighted opportunities for collaboration between Gujarat's creative ecosystem and Wizcraft's experience in developing large-scale entertainment platforms.

The initiative is expected to bring together cinema, culture and entertainment while creating new opportunities for artists, filmmakers and creative professionals from Gujarat.

IIFA has continued to expand its international footprint through destination-led celebrations and new platforms. Its 27th IIFA Weekend & Awards is scheduled to return to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, on January 22 and 23, 2027.

The proposed IIFA Rangilo initiative could further extend the IIFA brand's regional presence while providing a global platform for Gujarati cinema and Gujarat's creative talent.
