Abu Dhabi: Miss Universe India 2026 Kaziah Liz Mejo met Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, as she prepares to represent India at the international Miss Universe pageant later this year.

Mejo shared footage of the meeting on Instagram, describing the conversation as a memorable highlight of her journey. She said they exchanged views on building a more united world and that she received Sheikh Nahyan’s blessings ahead of her appearance on the global stage.

The UAE-raised beauty queen also highlighted her strong connection with both the UAE and India. In a separate Instagram story, she said she had “always wanted to be a representative of our Bharat in everything I do” and described her Miss Universe journey as “just the beginning.”

Mejo also shared another Instagram story featuring flowers and cards, which she said were gifts from the President of Syria.

Mejo won the Miss Universe India 2026 title in August. A law student from Kerala who grew up in Abu Dhabi, she is now preparing to represent India at the Miss Universe competition later this year.

Her journey has drawn attention to her unique connection with both India and the UAE as she gets ready to take the international stage.
