Moon World Resorts Inc. (MWR) has appointed BDP Quadrangle, the Toronto based studio and North American headquarters of global design practice BDP, as Lead Architects across all MOON Smart City masterplans. This engagement draws on BDP Quadrangle's multidisciplinary approach to architecture, design, and urbanism, supporting MWR's mission of delivering a Building of Global Significance across all global regions.

Founded in 1961 by Sir George Grenfell Baines on the belief that collaboration across disciplines produces better design than hierarchy, BDP has grown into an internationally renowned, multidisciplinary practice spanning architecture, engineering, and specialist design under one roof. In 2019, Quadrangle, the 35-year-old Toronto practice respected across North America for its design quality, business acumen, and integrity, joined BDP; the combined studio became BDP Quadrangle in 2020. Today the 200 person Toronto studio designs across mixed-use urban developments, residential buildings, workplace, retail, transit, media environments, education, and healthcare, with notable work including the Indigenous Hub in Toronto's Canary District and design contributions to The Well.

BDP Quadrangle will bring its collaborative, multidisciplinary design philosophy, honed since 1961 and sharpened through its North American practice, to MOON's global design and delivery program across all worldwide locations.

Each MOON development is conceived as a Building of Global Significance, anchored by the world's largest true Sphere and a 556 acre masterplan integrating hospitality, entertainment, longevity + wellbeing, education, technology, attractions, luxury residences and AAA commercial real estate.
