Dubai:Indian People’s Forum UAE delegation welcomed Cabinet Minister for Commerce & Industry and Railways Piyush Goyal to UAE. He was in UAE for a 2-days visit to inaugurate India Pavilion for Dubai Expo 2020. He also attended ground breaking ceremony of sprawling 4,800-square-feet G+3 storied pavilion and laid foundation stone.

During the exclusive meeting with IPF team, President & National Convener Bhupendra Kumar informed minister about IPF activities for community engagement, consular matters and culture exchange. He was accompanied by IPF Dubai President Ramesh Mannath, Vice President Janagama Srinivas, IPF Sharjah President Vijayan Nair, General Secretary Suresh Kashi, IPF Ajman President Radhish Nair and IPF Women’s Wing coordinator Shilpa Nair. During the meeting Consul General of India Vipul also appreciated contribution of IPF team done in support of Embassy and Consulate activities.

Minister informed about plans for Expo 2020 and celebrations of 2 special India Days on Diwali 2020 and Republic Day 2021 to showcase rich culture and heritage of India along with cuisines, entertainment, business start-ups, and space program. On questions about investments from UAE to India, minister told IPF team about developmental changes brought by ministry in ease of doing business and requested to spread information and motivate diaspora to be entrepreneurs and be part of growth of vibrant India. He also informed that current Single-Window approval systems are also getting revamped to improve performance.
