Dubai Police fulfils orphan’s dream to ride along Luxury Police Patrol

Dubai:Sixteen-year-old Mazen Abdullah had never thought his dream to ride along one of Dubai Police’ luxury patrols would come true until the day he received a call from the force inviting him over for a field visit.

Major General Mohammed Saeed Bakhit, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Community Happiness and Logistics at Dubai Police, received the orphan student and his mother and briefed him about the force’s efforts in promoting security and safety for people and their efforts in ensuring the happiness of society.

In the presence of some Dubai Police officers and representatives from the Emirates Red Crescent, Maj-Gen Bakhit discussed the student’s dreams and hopes and shared with him some exciting memories of the force’s history and establishment.

Mazen Abdullah, whose late father used to work in a military position, was delighted to be warmly welcomed and hear about policing and how police patrols operate. He felt immensely happy to ride along in a supercar police patrol.

The gesture was in response to a request submitted by the Emirates Red Crescent programme (Granting an Orphan’s Wish).
