Emirati businessman pledges 600K to release Indebted Inmates

Dubai:Emirati businessman Ahmed Sultan Bin Sulayem has recently pledged AED 633,778 for the release of number of indebted inmates at the Correctional and Punitive Institutions in Dubai.

This generous donation was made during Mr. Bin Sulayem, CEO of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Authority (DMCC) visit to the Correctional and Punitive Institutions where he and Dubai Police officials, headed by Brigadier Marwan Abdul Kareem Julfar, Acting Director of the Correctional and Punitive Institutions, discussed enhancing mutual coordination and cooperation.  

Brig. Julfar said that the Department has adopted a path of tolerance, coexistence, benevolence, and giving others a second chance to return to the path of righteousness once again. "In this spirit, we are keen on strengthening social responsibility in coordination with charities and philanthropists to end the suffering of inmates and help them start again, improve their conditions, and solve their financial and social problems," Brig. Julfar added.

The acting director of the Correctional and Punitive Institutions at Dubai Police commended the generous contribution made by great individuals such as Mr Bin Sulayem to establish social solidarity and contribute to the development and social objectives of the UAE, and expressed hope that this initiative will be an inspiration for other organizations and individuals to be part of the UAE's humanitarian efforts.
