Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri: The UAE\'s 49th National Day celebrates the pioneering march of the great nation of happiness

Dubai:The Dubai Police would like to extend the force’s sincerest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council, the Rulers of all the Emirates, Deputy Rulers, Crown Princes and all Emiratis on the occasion of the UAE's 49th National Day.

In a statement marking the national occasion, His Excellency Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, said the celebration of this historic day every year, is a celebration of the grand pioneering march of a great state with leaders, who and in a short period, have achieved prosperity and happiness for its citizens and residents, a country that has become a world-class role model for tolerance and security.

“It is a precious opportunity for the hearts of our nation during which we remember the efforts of our founding leaders in laying the foundation stone for building a strong union. On this day, we send messages of love and loyalty to our beloved country and our wise leadership, and renew the commitment that we shall remain loyal and honest children of this homeland,” Lt. Gen. Al Marri added.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri further added that the National Day is when we renew the covenant to remain loyal and righteous children to this pure wealth and to our rulers who led the homeland from the era of Union to the era of prosperity and flourish. He noted that our wise leadership has transformed the UAE into a security and safety oasis where all nationalities, religions, and races coexist peacefully and enjoy its blessings.

“I pray to Allah the Almighty to protect our nation, our flag, and our President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and their brothers Their Highnesses members of the Supreme Council of Rulers of the Emirates and Crown Princes,” Lt. Gen. Al Marri continued.

The Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police explained that this year’s celebrations of the 49th National Day come under exceptional circumstances that the whole world is witnessing in the face of the emerging Coronavirus (Covid-19). He added that the safety of every citizen and resident remains a top priority during this proud day.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri urged members of the public to express their love for the UAE safely and securely.  “We call on everyone to follow the regulations, laws and the announced precautionary measures against COVID-19,” “We urge you all to refrain from hosting large gatherings, and to maintaining physical distancing at all times and wear masks when going out,” he said.
