Dubai: The‭ ‬ ‬Dub‭ai ‬Police,‭ ‬represented‭ ‬ ‬by‭ ‬ ‭Tourist‭ ‬‬Police‭‭ ‬Department,‭ ‬has‭ ‬recently welcomed‭ ‬a group of tourists arriving on board of 'AIDA' Cruise‭ at‭ ‬‬Dubai‭ ‬Harbor‭ ‬,‬with the‭ ‬aim of informing tourists about Dubai Police smart security services‭ provided ‬through various electronic communication channels. ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Called ‭ ‬'Happy Tourists'‭‬, the initiative was carried out in cooperation with Ports Police Station, Dubai Police Academy and Security Awareness Department. It also aims to enhance the sense of security among all community members.‬‬‬‬

Colonel Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of Dubai Tourist Police, explained that the Tourist Police Department welcomed 1000 tourists and 700 crew members.‭ ‬"The‭ ‬ ‭ ‬event‭ ‬ ‭ ‬included‭ ‬ ‭ a ‬military‭ ‬ shows, entertainment  with ‭ ‬Dubai‭ ‬ Police ‭ ‬mascot 'Amna', and‭ ‬ ‭ ‬distribution of ‭ ‬souvenirs and gifts". "These initiatives will support the tourism sector in the emirate and contribute‭ ‬ ‭ ‬to‭ ‬ ‭ ‬enriching‭ ‬ ‭ ‬the‭ ‬ ‭ ‬tourism‭ ‬ ‭ ‬experience‭ ‬ ‭ ‬of‭ ‬ ‭ ‬tourists‭ ‬ ‭ ‬who‭ ‬ ‭ ‬are‭ ‬ ‭ ‬visiting Dubai", Al Jallaf added.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

He also stressed the importance of raising the public awareness on the force’s various electronic and smart security services that are provided conveniently for them around the clock.

Alternatively, they can call 901 or request the police services on the Dubai Police Smart app, available for smartphones through App Store, Google Play, and Huawei AppGallery", Col. Al Jallaf concluded.
