Dubai: More than 100 coaches of age groups in Dubai clubs are participating in the 9th Forum for Coaches of Dubai Football Clubs, which is organized by Dubai Sports Council (DSC) for the 9th successive year, aiming to enhance the professional sports levels for technical & administrative staff of clubs.

The Forum will continue up to 8th Dec. 2022 and it is taking place at the premises of Shabab Al-Ahli Club, Al-Wasl Club & Al-Nasr Club, under supervision of several experts & technical managers of football academies in Dubai. The four–day Forum comprises several lectures & workshops targeting three categories; these are: coaches of age groups from 13 to 18 years old / coaches of football schools’ players from the age of 6 to 12 years old / goalkeepers’ coaches.

Six lectures were presented as part of the Forum’s programs. In this regard, Mr. Marcel Lucassin, the Technical Manager of the UAE Football Association, presented a lecture at Shabab Al-Ahli Club Premises under title “Individual Trainings for Team Development”, while Mr. Daniel Lopaz Rodrigas, the Technical Supervisor of Al-Nasr Football School, presented a lecture under title “Identification & Selection of Football Players”.   Mr. Yasin Bin Talaa, the Technical Supervisor of Goalkeepers in Al-Wasl Football Academy, lectured the attendees on the “Technical Programing for Goalkeepers’ Coaching”.

Mr. Jorvan Vierira, the Professional Football Coach, presented a lecture under title “Job Training”, while Mr. Abdulrazzaq Kanis, the Technical Supervisor of Shabab Al-Ahli Football School, presented a lecture on the “Importance of Improving Weak Foot in Football”. Dr. Sajjad Krami, the Founder & Manager of Sportify Academy, presented a lecture titled “the Importance of Physiological & Physical Measurements for Goalkeepers”.

Three lectures will take place on Wednesday 7th Dec. as part of the Forum’s activities. The first lecture, to take place at 05:00 pm at Shabab Al-Ahli Club, will deal with Bielsa training’s method and will be presented by Mr. Ian Finkel, the Senior Technical Advisor in the UAE Football Association. The second lecture, titled “Technical Development for Players”, will be presented by Mr. Michel Momartz, the Technical Supervisor of Al-Wasl Football School and it will be held at Al-Nasr Club. The third lecture will be addressed by Mr. Jose Linares Diaz, the Technical Manager of Ikar Casillas Academy, who will talk on movement trainings for goalkeepers and will answer the question (Do we train while we compete?). This lecture will take place at Al-Wasl Club.  

Other three lectures will be held Thursday 8th Dec., the first of which will be presented by Mr. Wael Al-Sisi, the Technical Manager of Shabab Al-Ahli Football Academy, who will talk on the Principles of the Game. Mr. Robin Morales, the Technical Supervisor of the Barcelona Football Academy in Dubai, will talk in the second lecture about the training methodology at Barcelona Academy in Dubai, and the lecture will be held at Al Nasr Club. The third lecture, taking place at Al-Wasl Club, will be addressed by Mr. Kamal Jaber, the Technical Supervisor of Goalkeepers in Hatta Football Academy who will speak about the Analysis of Goalkeeper Performance during the Match. 

The Forum is organized annually as part of DSC’s strategy to enhance the levels of juniors & youth / qualify technical staff / boost technical levels of coaches who serve in age groups & academies of clubs and football companies in Dubai. The Forum is a continuity for DSC’s development program aiming to qualify football coaches, including external training courses for coaches’ assistants of football companies in Dubai clubs, which are organized in collaboration with international sports federations.
