Dubai: The Dubai Police General Command has recently received a delegation from the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) within the framework of strengthening cooperation and enhancing partnerships in the fields of strategic studies and scientific research. 

His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, welcomed Dr Sultan Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, Director General of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, in the presence of His Excellency Major General Ahmed Mohammed Rafi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administration Affairs, Major General Ahmad Thani bin Ghalaita, Director of the General Department of Forensic Evidence and Criminology, and other officers and employees from both sides. 
 
Lt. Gen. Al Marri stressed that Dubai Police is keen to strengthen its partnerships with various local and federal entities, to share best practices and exchange knowledge and successful experience in research and foreseeing studies. 
 
Meanwhile, Dr Al-Nuaimi confirmed the Centre's eagerness to ensure the success of this cooperation and collaboration with the Force, hailing the scientific achievement and advancement of the Dubai Police. 
 
 The ECSSR delegation was toured around the Command and Control Centre and introduced to the working mechanism and latest services and initiatives that ensure the safety and security of the emirate. They were also presented with the newest equipment and additions, such as the 3D map that covers Dubai and the patrol dispatching system that ensures swift and efficient responses to reports and emergency calls. 

Dr Al-Nuaimi and his accompanying delegation have also visited the General Department of Human Resources and briefed on the best practices, including academic recruitment, university student training and part-time jobs, human resources labs and the Future Foresight and Decision Support Center.  
  
The delegation also visited the Dubai Smart Police Station SPS – Muraqqabat. They were familiarised with the various services provided by the Station to the customers in 7 languages around the clock, including 27 key services, such as reporting crimes and traffic incidents, as well as a further 33 community-based services, which range from obtaining good-conduct certificate to social support for victims of family violence.
