Dubai: The Emirates Journalists Association announced the formation of a number of its internal committees according to different purposeful tasks and various roles that would enable members to keep abreast of successive professional developments in journalistic work and its requirements and modern trends.

The number of committees that were approved on the sidelines of the closing day of the Global Forum for Artificial Intelligence Journalism, which continued its work over the course of May 9 and 10, is 4 committees, including the Tourism Media Committee headed by Hussein Al-Mannai, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, and the Training Courses Committee headed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Mansoori, a member of the Board of Directors. The Digital Media Committee, led by Raed Al-Shayeb, a member of the Board of Directors, and the Activities and Events Committee, supervised by Muhammad Al-Tunaiji, a member of the Board of Directors.
Hussein Al-Mannai, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, confirmed during the meeting organized by the Society the day before yesterday and gathered the four committee chairmen and the 29 new members in each committee, that the formation of the committees is subject to different standards and targets that derive from the general policy of the Society, and its aspirations during the next stage, to keep pace with changes and developments. Media work and support its members professionally and skillfully.

He stated that the diversity witnessed in the formation of the committees contributes to creating a renewed thought that reflects positively on the requirements of the media work in the current and future phases, in addition to that the new blood chosen and used, are distinguished energies that are aware of the importance of development and are aware of the policy, goals and future aspirations of the association.

For her part, Her Excellency Al-Maeena, Secretary of the Society, emphasized the importance of development in various fields, especially media work, which is an influential tool in all societies, as well as the rapid changes that impose real development on everyone to keep pace with developments in media work in various fields, hence the idea of ​​forming internal committees. The association, according to new visions based on renewed ideas that contribute in turn to achieving the desired goals and future aspirations of the association in the Arab world and globally.

She said that the development and formation of internal committees in the association is a continuous process that has not stopped and with the participation of its distinguished members in the media work in various institutions and disciplines, explaining that the developments that the association has introduced to form its committees are systematic and studied and accompanied by a package of goals that deepen the role of the association and its societal responsibilities inside and outside the UAE.

During the meeting, Al-Moaini announced the names of the committees approved by the association’s board of directors, the heads and members of each committee, stressing that the next stage constitutes a new developmental era for the association, as it contributes effectively to supporting the national media according to new visions, systematic planning and strategies that simulate recent developments in the field of journalism and media.
