Dubai: The Dubai Police extends their sincerest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council, the Rulers of all the Emirates, Deputy Rulers, Crown Princes, and to all Emiratis and UAE residents on the occasion of the UAE Flag Day. 

In a celebratory statement, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, emphasised the significance of instilling the national symbol which exemplifies the strong ties and bonds amongst people of the UAE, and reflects the values of loyalty, devotion and belonging to our homelands. 

“The annual celebration of hoisting the UAE’s flag on November 3rd, reinforces and renews our loyalty to our homeland and our wise leadership, and reaffirms the saying of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan “On flag day we renew patriotic pledge towards our homeland to keep its flag raised high with pride, and marks it as a symbol of our strength and unity” Lt. Gen. Al Marri added. 

Lt. Gen. Al Marri noted that the flag represents the UAE’s people unity and harmony and expresses our love to this dear land. He cited His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum saying “We want to see [the flag] in our homes, farms and facilities. We want to see the flag in the sky. As high as our ambitions, as noble as our souls, flying over all corners of our nation.” 

The commander-in-chief of Dubai Police explained that celebrating this special occasion is dear to both citizens and residents as it reinforces cultural awareness and belongings to all what the flag stands for. “It [the UAE Flag Day] strengthens community bonding, reaffirms national unity and the hard work toward achieving sustainable growth and prosperity in all sectors amongst the UAE,” he concluded.
