Dubai Police familiarise Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah Employees with Security Services

Dubai: The Dubai Tourist Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation (CID) has recently organized a workshop to raise awareness among 90 Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah employees about smart police services, security procedures, and public safety measures.
The event, held at Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah, was organized in cooperation with the Department of Economy and Tourism, the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and internal partners within the Dubai Police.
Brigadier Khalfan Al Jallaf, Director of the Dubai Tourist Police Department, emphasized the importance of promoting security awareness in hotels and resorts through collaborative efforts with partners. He highlighted that this aspect is pivotal in the department's operations, particularly considering Dubai's reputation as a global tourist destination, attracting millions annually.
"Therefore, our objective is to enhance security awareness about Dubai Police services tailored to the needs of tourists and visitors, ensuring effective engagement with this specific demographic. This commitment aligns with Dubai Police's strategic vision of promoting community well-being and reinforcing a pervasive sense of safety across the emirate," Brig. Al Jallaf added.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense taught the employees about fire prevention, incident response, and safety protocols. The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services also contributed by raising awareness about crucial first-aid procedures, communication channels, and emergency management.
Meanwhile, alongside the Dubai Tourist Police Department, several departments participated in this event, including the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, the Electronic Investigations Department, the Lost and Found Department, the Criminal and Administrative Investigations Department, and the Call Center 901.
The lectures covered the high-quality and convenient services offered by the Smart Police Stations (SPS), which provide accessible assistance to the public 24/7, without human intervention. Furthermore, participants gained knowledge about the risks associated with drugs. They were informed about the Lost & Found system available at Dubai hotels, as well as the effective methods of communication and engagement with law enforcement agencies.
Awareness sessions were also conducted on cybercrime, including strategies for dealing with electronic breaches and extortion and utilizing the e-crime platform to report such incidents. Additionally, participants were informed about the appropriate procedures for contacting the police in case of emergencies (via 999) and non-emergency situations (via 901).
