Sharjah Police manages 58,593 calls during Eid Al Fitr holiday

Sharjah: During Eid Al Fitr holiday, the Central Operations Room at the Sharjah Police General Command received (58,593) calls. Out of these calls, (50,498) were made on 999 for emergencies while (8,095) were made on 901 for non-emergency cases.
Colonel Dr. Jassim bin Hadda Al Suwaidi confirmed that the operating room was on high alert from the start of the holiday, and worked to synchronize all efforts with other operating rooms in the central and eastern regions. They were able to handle all incoming calls professionally and referred each to the appropriate authorities based on their specialty. This was done in accordance with the strategic plan's objectives that aimed to improve response time.

Many calls were made to the 999 number inquiring about specific services or matters, which Colonel Al Suwaidi said affected the immediate response to necessary cases.

The 901 number operates 24/7 and is dedicated to meeting customers' needs, responding to all inquiries, providing all information, and receiving non-emergency comments and reports from all members of society. Colonel Al Suwaidi urged people to determine the type of report they want to communicate to the operating room so that they can provide the best service that meets their needs.
