Dubai: Since the beginning of this year, Dubai Police's Tourist Police have engaged with tourists through five digital and innovative communication channels, receiving 3,509 inquiries, comments, and suggestions.

Dubai Police, represented by the Tourist Police Department of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, strives to enhance communication with tourists visiting the emirate through five innovative channels. 

Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department, said the initiative aligns with the Dubai government's vision to make Dubai the best city in the world for living, working, visiting, and investing. He emphasised "the department's commitment to engaging with international tourists to enhance their travel experiences in Dubai". 

He highlighted the ease of interacting with the Tourist Police via the latest version of the Dubai Police smart app available on iOS, Android, and Huawei systems, allowing tourists worldwide to submit inquiries and reports easily.

Additionally, tourists can access the Dubai Police website at www.dubaipolice.gov.ae, a second communication channel. 

A third option includes visiting the Smart Police Stations (SPS) scattered throughout Dubai, which operate around the clock without human intervention, enabling tourists to submit suggestions and reports intelligently.

The fourth channel is the 901 call centre, dedicated to non-emergency calls from tourists, while the fifth channel is the Dubai Police Tourist Police email at [email protected], accessible to tourists globally.

Al Jallaf noted that these communication channels had received 3,509 queries and suggestions since the start of the year, following 7,652 interactions last year. "The feedback has significantly improved the guides' ability to provide police and security services, recover lost items, and help tourists return to their accommodations or home countries, thereby enhancing their overall experience in Dubai," he confirmed.
