Dubai: The Dubai Police stand attracted a diverse audience on the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 opening day at the Dubai World Trade Centre, including ambassadors, consular representatives, and aviation professionals from various government and private organizations.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore various security and tourism services offered by Dubai Police, all designed to enhance safety and happiness for community members, especially those visiting the emirate. Attendees enjoyed performances by the Dubai Police musical band and impressive police dog shows from the K9 Inspection Unit.
His Excellency Major General Ali Atiq bin Lahej, Assistant Commandant for Ports Affairs at Dubai Police, reviewed the stand, emphasizing the force's commitment to actively participating in major local, regional, and global events like the Arabian Travel Market. “This reinforces the force's dedication to enhancing Dubai's position as a safe and leading tourist destination worldwide,” he continued.
He stated, “During my visit, I explored the innovative smart services and initiatives provided by Dubai Police for tourists and visitors, reflecting our ongoing efforts to deliver the best security and service experiences. We take pride in the dedication of our teams, who work tirelessly to enhance our services in alignment with government goals and to promote the safety and happiness of the public.”
Vital Sector
Brigadier Harb Al Shamsi, Acting Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, indicated that the participation in the exhibition reflects the Dubai Police commitment to engage in the key international events across various sectors. “The tourism and travel sector played a vital role in the economy that is experiencing significant global growth,” he added.
Al Shamsi noted that participating in the exhibition, which features leading companies and experts in travel and tourism, provides a significant opportunity to showcase Dubai Police's services designed to enhance the happiness and safety of tourists and ensure that visitors can enjoy an exceptional experience while exploring Dubai.
7 Services
Meanwhile, Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department, confirmed that Dubai Police is demonstrating seven key services at the police stand, which are designed to support the police strategic goal of ‘Safe City’.
He emphasized the commitment of Dubai Police, through the Tourist Police Department, to deliver top-notch services for tourists by continuously enhancing the security framework. “This involves staying ahead of the curve and developing services and programs that reflect global trends in the security and tourism sectors,” Al Jallaf added.
Hatta Brave Squad
Dubai Police's stand highlighted the efforts of the Hatta Brave Squad, which was established to enhance rapid response to emergency incidents. Squad members are highly skilled and trained to handle various emergencies around the clock, particularly in areas frequented by adventure enthusiasts engaged in activities like mountain climbing and valley crossings. They are equipped with advanced bicycles that incorporate the latest smart technologies for operational efficiency, along with modern tools that enhance their response capabilities.
Quad Bike
The stand also featured the Can-Am quad patrol utilized by the Hatta Police Station. This vehicle is an essential asset for the brave squad, equipped with advanced technology and specialized tools for security operations in rugged mountainous areas and valleys. The patrol includes smart cameras, a vehicle license plate reader, and a facial recognition system, further enhancing their ability to respond effectively.
Lost and Found System
The stand gives visitors an overview of the smart Lost and Found System, which connects government, semi-government, and private entities across the emirate. This integrated system significantly reduces customers' time requirements and simplifies the process of handing over and receiving lost items.
Thanks to this system, community members can now easily submit found items at the nearest location—whether at police stations, government offices, shopping centers, hotels, entertainment venues, or other partners involved in the smart Lost and Found System. This enhances the service and ensures that lost items are efficiently returned to their rightful owners.
