Mumbai: The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2025 has officially unveiled its Top 21 Short Films, a distinguished collection of extraordinary stories from around the world.

Emerging from the Top 50 shortlist, these films represent the very best in independent and global short-format cinema, combining visionary narratives with exceptional craftsmanship. Each selection embodies cinematic brilliance, emotional depth, and the enduring legacy of Indian cinema.

This announcement marks the final step before the highly anticipated reveal of the Top 10 Short Films, which will be showcased at the DPIFF 2025 Short Film Screening Gala—the opening night of India’s most prestigious film festival and award ceremony.

Final Stage of Competition
The Top 10 films will be evaluated by 10 Consulate Generals from across the globe, bringing diverse international perspectives to the judging process. Winners will be honoured at the DPIFF Grand Ceremony with awards and cash prizes exceeding ₹1,00,000.
