Dubai: Dubai Police, through its “Your Commitment is Happiness” initiative and partners, organised an awareness workshop at Hatta Community Centre focused on promoting positive encouragement in sports venues before, during, and after matches. 

The session also highlighted the rules of conduct in sports facilities as outlined in Federal Law No. 8 of 2014 on the security of sports facilities and events.

First Lieutenant Nabit Sultan Al Ketbi, Head of the “Your Commitment is Happiness” initiative, emphasised the initiative’s ongoing efforts to engage with sports audiences and raise awareness about legal and behavioural responsibilities.

He stressed the importance of following safety and security instructions when entering and leaving stadiums, as well as maintaining a spirit of sportsmanship that reflects the nation’s civilised image and Dubai’s global reputation for hosting high-quality sporting events.

Al Ketbi explained that Dubai Police, through this initiative, aims to build a safe and inspiring sports environment based on constructive criticism, ethical behaviour, and shared happiness among fans. The goal is to bring together all segments of the sports community — spectators, players, and administrators — in a positive dialogue that strengthens respect, tolerance, and unity through sport.

He added that the initiative continues to promote positive fan culture in stadiums, spread awareness messages across social media platforms, and enhance legal and behavioural understanding to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all at sporting venues.
