Sharjah: Sharjah Police made arrests after seizing 60 tons of fireworks, addressing negative practices that pose a danger to members of society, especially during official holidays.
Brigadier Ibrahim Musbah Al Ajal, Director General of the General Administration of Comprehensive Police Stations, explained that the bust followed careful monitoring, which led to identifying the promoters’ locations and arresting. They were in possession of a large amount of fireworks set for sale illegally. The necessary legal actions were taken against them, and the case was sent to the Public Prosecution.

Al Ajal stressed using fireworks carelessly poses a direct threat to public safety, as it may cause harm to people and properties and disturbance to residents.

Sharjah Police urged the community to follow the law, educate children about the risks of fireworks, and report any violations by dialing 901, dedicated to non-emergency calls.
