Dubai Police Ease Truck Flow on Hatta Road with New Traffic Plan

Dubai: Dubai Police have introduced a traffic plan designed to enhance the movement of trucks along Hatta Road, a key corridor linking the UAE with the Sultanate of Oman.
Brigadier Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of Hatta Police Station, highlighted the station’s central role in managing traffic and ensuring road safety across the area. He noted that the route serves as a major channel for the transport of goods and the movement of citizens, residents, and tourists, making efficient traffic management essential.

He confirmed that the plan was implemented by Hatta Police Station in coordination with the General Department of Traffic and strategic partners, aiming to improve traffic flow along the Hatta Oman road, which accommodates between 1,500 and 2,000 trucks daily.
The plan centres on deploying and distributing patrols across the route to monitor traffic conditions in real time, allowing for rapid response to congestion or sudden disruptions. This proactive approach helps maintain steady traffic flow and prevents bottlenecks.
Truck movement has also been regulated through designated lanes and carefully scheduled timings aligned with peak hours, reducing travel time for drivers and improving overall efficiency on the road.

The initiative further includes strict enforcement against overloading violations that may pose risks to road users and infrastructure, supporting safer roads, reduced congestion, and smoother mobility along this vital route.
