Dubai: As part of ongoing efforts to enhance specialised investigative capabilities, Dubai Police organised an advanced training course on modern criminal investigations related to human trafficking, bringing together officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel working in anti-trafficking operations.

Organised by the Human Trafficking Crimes Monitoring Centre at the General Department of Human Rights, the two day course focused on the evolving nature of human trafficking crimes and the growing impact of technology, digital tools, and artificial intelligence on criminal methods and investigations.

The course was inaugurated by Colonel Saeed Al Sabousi on behalf of Colonel Saeed Al Heli, Director of the Human Trafficking Crimes Monitoring Centre. During his opening remarks, Colonel Al Sabousi emphasised the importance of equipping specialists with the latest investigative knowledge and techniques to address cross border trafficking crimes and strengthen prevention efforts.

Delivered by Dr Abdulkarim Mohammad Ali Al Blooshi, the programme examined key aspects of human trafficking investigations, including the legal framework surrounding the crime, the UAE’s anti trafficking strategy, modern digital investigation methods, and emerging trends in prevention and risk management.

The sessions also explored how criminal networks exploit modern electronic tools in trafficking operations, while highlighting the role of preventive investigators in identifying risks and strengthening early intervention mechanisms.
