Dubai: As part of its annual "You Made Me Happy" initiative, Dubai Police, represented by the General Department of Human Rights in cooperation with the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments, distributed Eid clothing to the children of female inmates. The initiative aims to bring joy and happiness to their hearts on the occasion of Eid Al Adha .

The event was attended by Brigadier Salah Buassiba, Director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments; his deputy, Colonel Yousef Abdul Karim Juma; Colonel Jamila Al Zaabi, Director of the Women's Prison Department ; Major Rashid Nasser, Head of the Child Protection Section at the General Department of Human Rights ; and a number of officers, personnel, and staff.

This initiative is part of Dubai Police's commitment to fostering values of social solidarity and humanitarian work, and to enhancing the psychological and social stability of the children of female inmates. It aligns with Dubai Police's approach to supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening family bonds, especially during religious and national occasions that carry deep emotional and social significance .

The "You Made Me Happy" initiative embodies this humanitarian and civilised approach adopted by Dubai Police in dealing with female inmates and their families. Through such community initiatives, the Force enhances psychological and social well‑being and reinforces the values of mercy, tolerance, and social cohesion. The initiative also reflects Dubai Police's commitment to providing a supportive rehabilitative environment that contributes to the rehabilitation of female inmates and enables them to return to society in a positive and stable manner.
