ICIE Invites Global Innovators to Explore Taiwan’s Semiconductor and AI Ecosystem

Taipei, Taiwan: In a significant step towards strengthening global collaboration in innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, and academia, the International Council for Innovators and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) has announced Explore2Expand Taiwan, a global delegation initiative designed to connect businesses, startups, innovators, investors, students, researchers, and academic institutions from across the world with Taiwan’s globally renowned technology and innovation ecosystem.
The announcement follows strategic discussions held by Mr. Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Founding Convener of ICIE, with Ms. Vivian Huang, International Cooperation Strategy Officer at Institute for Information Industry (III), Government of Taiwan, and Dr. Michael Lin, CEO of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). The discussions focused on fostering global collaboration in innovation, digital transformation, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, startup ecosystem development, talent exchange, research partnerships, and industry-academia engagement.
Recognized globally as the epicenter of semiconductor manufacturing and one of Asia’s most advanced innovation ecosystems, Taiwan offers unparalleled opportunities in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, electronics, deep technology, advanced manufacturing, and startup acceleration. The initiative is also aligned with major technology and innovation platforms in Taiwan, providing participants with exposure to emerging technologies, global markets, and international collaboration opportunities.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sundeep Kumar Makthala stated that Explore2Expand Taiwan will provide global delegates with direct access to Taiwan’s innovation ecosystem through interactions with leading universities, accelerators, technology companies, research institutions, startup communities, and industry leaders. He noted that the initiative would create new pathways for cross-border partnerships, market access, technology collaborations, startup acceleration, academic exchanges, investment engagement, and international expansion.
The Explore2Expand Taiwan delegation, scheduled from July 29 to August 2, 2026, will focus on key sectors including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, electronics, digital transformation, deep technology, advanced manufacturing, startups, innovation, and research collaboration. Delegates are expected to engage with leading innovation institutions, universities, accelerators, technology organizations, and ecosystem leaders while gaining firsthand exposure to Taiwan’s globally recognized innovation landscape.
