Dubai: Dubai Police has graduated 59 national professionals from the first two cohorts of its accredited Future Ready Diploma, reinforcing its commitment to preparing future focused leaders capable of anticipating emerging challenges, designing innovative solutions and shaping the future of policing.

Delivered by the Future Foresight Centre, the diploma forms part of Dubai Police’s integrated strategy to strengthen institutional readiness by developing a new generation of leaders equipped with future foresight capabilities, strategic thinking and innovation skills.

The first cohort comprised 29 participants from six policing sectors, while the second included 30 participants representing seven sectors. Together, they completed 125 training hours and produced 59 future focused graduation projects addressing emerging policing and security trends.

Turning Foresight into Action

The graduation projects explored a wide range of future policing themes, including the future of forensic science using robotics, artificial intelligence driven traffic movement analysis, virtual reality enhanced security training, smart investigation technologies, the future of hybrid working and its impact on employee happiness, and future challenges facing digital media.

Investing in Future Leaders

Expert Brigadier Hamdan Ahmad Hamdan Al Ghassieh, Director of the Future Foresight Centre, said the diploma reflects Dubai Police’s continued investment in human capital by developing specialised capabilities and nurturing national talent to strengthen institutional readiness in an era of rapid transformation.

He explained that the programme equips participants with practical future foresight tools and emerging technologies, enabling a shift from responding to change towards proactively anticipating it, and from managing today’s realities to designing tomorrow’s solutions, in line with Dubai Government’s vision of global leadership.

He added that the graduation of the two cohorts demonstrates Dubai Police’s success in preparing a new generation of future designers capable of transforming challenges into opportunities, developing innovative initiatives and producing future scenarios that support the evolution of security policies and enhance policing performance.

Growing Demand

Brigadier Al Ghassieh noted that the programme generated 29 future studies in the first cohort and 30 studies in the second, covering every sector of Dubai Police.

He added that the growing number of applicants reflects the increasing culture of future foresight across the organisation, with the Future Foresight Centre receiving more than 256 nominations for the diploma.

The curriculum covers future foresight methodologies, the future of artificial intelligence, cyber security, future scenario planning, risk management, data analytics and applied statistics.

Building Tomorrow’s Policing Model

Brigadier Al Ghassieh reaffirmed that investing in people remains the cornerstone of building the future, adding that Dubai Police continues to strengthen a global policing model founded on foresight, innovation and future readiness.

He concluded that empowering young talent and national capabilities will remain central to enhancing Dubai Police’s readiness for the challenges of the coming decades and shaping the future of security.
