Dubai Police, MBRSC discuss enhancing collaboration

Dubai: H.E. Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, has recently met with H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Chairman of Board of Directors of Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), to discuss ways of cementing collaboration and coordination between both organisations.

The meeting was also attended by H.E. Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, Director-General of MBRSC; Major General Dr Ahmad Eid Al Mansoori, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police; and a number of senior officials from both entities.  

During the meeting, Al Marri stressed the keenness of the Dubai Police General Command to build bridges of communication and cooperation with all governmental and private entities to serves the country and public interest. He also lauded efforts exerted by the MBRSC and the support they provided to all government agencies and vital sectors in the Emirates.

Al Marri also met with the first female Arab astronaut - Nora Al Matrooshi and Mohammed Al Mulla of Dubai Police, who will form the second batch of the UAE Astronaut Programme. He was briefed by the Emirati astronauts on their training and mission.

For his part, H.E. Al Mansoori praised the efforts made by the Dubai Police to enhance and maintain the safety and security of the emirate. He also lauded the Commander-in-Chief’s keenness on strengthening relations of cooperation and strategic partnership between all government institutions that seek improving government efficiency and performance as well as improving the lives of communities.

After the meeting, H.E. Al Marri and the accompanying delegation toured the MBRSC and reviewed the Centre’s operations room. They were also briefed on the Centre’s projects, initiatives and smart systems, and concluded the tour with a visit to the satellite manufacturing laboratories.

Towards the end of the meeting, H.E. Al Marri presented Dubai Police’s commemorative shield to the MBRSC’s officials and thanked them for hosting the annual inspection of Al Rashidyia Police Stations at their premises in Al Khawaneej.
