Dubai Police, Noon.com launch Marketing Campaign for Inmates Products

Dubai: The Dubai Police General Command, represented by the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, has recently launched a marketing campaign to promote inmates' handmade products.

The move is part of Dubai Police's initiative "Help Them Build a Better Future", which aims at integrating inmates of penal institutions into the society and providing them with the necessary skills to start projects that help them earn the essential income that ensures the stability of their lives and the lives of their families in the future.

H.E Major General Ali Al Shamali, Director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions at Dubai Police, said that the Force, in cooperation with partners, has engaged inmates in specialized and professional courses all year long, including handicrafts, carpentry, ironworking, mechanics and many others.

"In collaboration with the online marketplace Noon, the Dubai Police has set up a special page just to sell handicrafts created by inmates, where all proceeds will go into spreading happiness among inmates and their families," Maj. Gen. Al Shamali continued.

"You can support Dubai inmates by purchasing their well-made products in the Handicraft Products Exhibition at the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions in Al Aweer, via Online Shopping at https://www.noon.com/, or the inmates' products booth at the Dubai Global Village," Maj. Gen. Al Shamali added.

It is worth noting that more than 11,000 products have been sold over the last three years, thanks to their high-quality and reasonable prices compared to what is available in the market.
