Dubai Police ‘Positive Spirit’ Achieves 96% Customer Satisfaction in 2022

DUbai: The Dubai Police's community-based initiative 'Positive Spirit' achieved 96% customer satisfaction with 74,946 beneficiaries in 2022, the acting chairman of the Positive Spirit Committee confirmed.
Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Acting Director of the General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police and Acting Chairman of the Positive Spirit Committee, said the Initiative was launched in 2017 per the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, to strengthen social cohesion, spread awareness, and to consolidate values of virtue among society members. He added that Positive Spirit also aims to embrace tolerance, coexistence, respect, and acceptance of others.
"The Positive Spirit instils sports culture and encourages youth participation as an effective social tool for exploiting leisure time. It amplifies the positive spirit and happiness among members of the society through various cultural, community and volunteering activities", he added.
Brig. Al Mansouri also explained that the 'Positive Spirit' Initiative organised 161 events last year: 60 community-based sports events with 25,626 beneficiaries, 48 community-based programmes with 31,364 beneficiaries, 42 workshops and lectures for 14,189 beneficiaries, and 11 cultural competitions with 3,773 beneficiaries.
"More than 74,946 people from different nationalities, ages and abilities participated and benefited from events and activities carried out by the Initiative, which recorded a satisfaction rate of 96%", Brig. Al Mansouri affirmed.
The General Coordinator of the Positive Spirit initiative, Fatima Buhajeer, said activities and events carried out by the 'Positive Spirit' Initiative went viral on social media platforms recording 2,104,399 views.
Buhajeer reaffirmed that the Positive Spirit initiative is always keen to open the door for volunteers to consolidate the values and spirit of volunteerism among the community.
"Last year, the number of volunteers reached 1,137 people who participated in 61 different volunteering initiatives with 17,033 volunteering hours and AED 2,331,809 in financial savings," she said.
Meanwhile, Captain Awad Mubarak, Coordinator of Positive Spirit, lauded the crucial role of the 22 strategic partners and supporting companies who sponsored the activities and events of the Initiative and helped achieve AED 409,251 in financial savings last year.
Capt. Mubarak further extended Dubai Police's thanks to all the strategic partners who contributed to the success of the Initiative's goals, namely Dubai Municipality, Dubai Parks, Dubai Sports Council, Dubai Culture, Dubai Club for People of Determination, The Permanent Committee of Labour Affairs in Dubai, Dubai Media Incorporated, Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Dubai Corporation For Ambulance Services, Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Community Development Authority (CDA), Al Nasr Cultural & Sports Club, City Centre Mirdif, NAVY DXB, Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE), Excellence Driving School, Dubai Women's Association, Adam Vital Hospital, Nabdh Al Emarat Volunteering Team, Hamdan Volunteering Team, and UAE Volunteering Team.
