Dubai Police Enables Athlete of Determination To Set New Guinness World Record

Dubai: An athlete with mobility disabilities, Sujith Koshy Varghese, has broken a new Guinness World Record for the largest individual GPS Drawing of a wheelchair at a distance of 8.71 km. This achievement was made possible with the full support of Dubai Police, who are committed to empowering and supporting people of determination.

The Vice President of Dubai Police Innovation Council, Major Khalid Khalifa Al Mazrouei, coordinated the athlete support initiative and confirmed that the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, H.E Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, has always directed the force to utilize all means and capabilities to support Varghese in reaching his goal. This included logistical and field support such as ambulance, drones, and security and traffic patrols.

The chosen track in the shape of a wheelchair symbolizes the Dubai Police's commitment to supporting determined individuals with mobility disabilities. 

Varghese expressed his gratitude to Dubai Police for their unwavering support, which enabled him to fulfill his dream and achieve the Guinness World Records title. He added that Dubai Police’s Innovation Council, Events Security Committee, Athletes Council, and People of Determination Empowerment Council were all instrumental in helping him achieve this remarkable feat.
