Dubai: Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman's Municipality and Planning Department and president of the UAE Football Association, visited the Al Muraqqabat Smart Police Station (SPS) in Dubai, the first service centre in the emirate to receive a 6-star rating. 

The visit aimed to examine the smart and diverse services the station provides to the public without human intervention and around the clock. These services enhance security and safety, accelerate emergency response, and improve security coverage in the area.

Upon arrival, Sheikh Rashid was welcomed by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, along with his assistants, directors of general departments and police stations, and senior officers. Sheikh Rashid praised the excellence of the Dubai Police and its excellency in providing the best smart and innovative services to the community, in line with the aspirations of our wise leadership to enhance security and safety and community happiness. 

Sheikh Rashid also commended the SPS for achieving a 6-star rating as the first service centre in Dubai to do so. He praised the innovative smart police stations project across the Emirate of Dubai and their role in enhancing the police work system, anticipating the future, and achieving sustainability in providing security and community services.

In turn, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Al Marri welcomed Sheikh Rashid and emphasised Dubai Police's commitment to achieving leadership among global law enforcement agencies by providing innovative, smart, and pioneering services that enhance Dubai's status as a competitive global destination looking towards the future. He referred to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, aiming to transform Dubai into a gateway for the future by continually competing to provide the best services and create an environment that encourages creativity and excellence, including transforming traditional police stations into smart ones.

Accompanied by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Sheikh Rashid toured the SPS and was briefed on the criminal, traffic, and community services offered to the public per the highest international standards and practices without human intervention. Additionally, he learned about the smart services provided to people of determination to facilitate their transactions.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi also listened to an explanation of the mechanism for registering a criminal complaint through direct video conferencing with investigators who speak multiple languages. 

Sheikh Rashid was introduced to the "Daily Brief" room at the SPS, which features the "Azri" system, including an artificial intelligence-powered map system that tracks patrol locations, report sites, and response time. It also contributes to predicting the possibility of accidents in specific areas based on collected and analysed data.

Furthermore, Sheikh Rashid was briefed on the latest models of the GHIATH patrol fleet, including the (GHIATH SWAT) patrol, one of the most advanced security vehicles in the world. The patrol is equipped with intelligent and sophisticated systems such as facial recognition, traffic accident systems, and vehicle tracking systems for wanted vehicles, in addition to various screens providing the responsible officer with comprehensive information about road conditions, wanted vehicles, and wanted individuals.

At the end of the visit, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi and His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri exchanged commemorative shields and took photos with senior officers and the Ajman Municipality accompanying delegation.
