Dubai: The Punitive and Correctional Establishments in Dubai have recently launched the 'Excellence & Readiness' initiative, which aims to ensure the continuous readiness of the General Department employees through regular specialized programmes. 

The event was attended by Brigadier Marwan Abdul Karim Julfar, Director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments at Dubai Police, along with his deputy, Colonel Abdullah Al Khader, and directors of various sub-departments.

Brig. Julfar emphasized that this initiative highlights the Department's dedication to maintaining a high level of physical and mental fitness and promoting healthy dietary habits and lifestyle practices. "This commitment is particularly crucial given the challenging and professional nature of police and security work, which demands officers and personnel to uphold optimal physical and mental readiness. Through advanced specialized programmes and year-round courses, we are determined to ensure their continual physical and mental preparedness," he continued.

The Director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments stated that the initiative actively supports the objectives of the Rehabilitation Centre and enhances readiness within the General Department of Community Happiness by prioritizing physical readiness and quality of life for Dubai Police personnel while also creating a sustainable programmatic environment to achieve these goals. 

The initiative featured a range of activities and sports training, a health lecture by Rd. Othman Mohammed, and another lecture about physical fitness conducted by Coach Raduko Dovjanewk. Furthermore, the initiative included a raffle in which 13 employees won prizes. 

Brig. Julfar praised the organising committee and acknowledged the partners represented by the General Department of Community Happiness and the Dubai Police Health Centre for their valuable contributions in ensuring the success of this initiative.
