The Emirates Association of Journalists reviews the role of women in media in the Arab Summit in Kuwait

Kuwait: The Emirates Association of Journalists participates in the work of the twentieth session of the Arab Media Forum, which is being held in the State of Kuwait under the auspices of HE Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Ahmed Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of the Kuwaiti Cabinet, during the period from 10 to 12 May, under the slogan “Media challenges amidst the evolution of technology and digital transformation.”

The meeting has the participation of broad Emirati, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Bati Al-Hamed, Head of the National Media Office, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Media Council, where the State of the UAE is the guest of honor at the event through a large media delegation including representatives from the public and private sectors, in appreciation of the state's position and its advanced media, and its role in keeping up with the news in Arabic, regional and international media, and what an active and distinguished presence represents in the Arab media arena.

The forum's activities, the day after tomorrow (Monday), include a dialogue session entitled "The Role of Women in the Media: Mental Image and Professional Skills", with the participation of speakers Fadhila Al Muaini, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the
Emirates Journalists Association, Dr. Doria Sharaf El Din, former Egyptian Minister of Information, Dr. Samar Baqer from Kuwait, and media personality Alina Mehwar from Lebanon. The session will be moderated by Emirati media personality Dr. Maya Al Hawari.

She expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Hamed for his continuous support for the Emirati media, and his keenness to meet the participating delegation, emphasizing the importance of the media's role in representing the country and strengthening its presence in regional and international forums.

The meeting sees a large presence of media leaders, experts and specialists from various Arab countries, and aims to discuss the reality and future of Arab media, its role in supporting sustainable development, promoting understanding among peoples, and finding innovative solutions to face existing challenges.
