Dubai Police Signs MoUs to Advance Academic, Training, and Sports Partnerships

Dubai: Dubai Police, represented by the Academic and Training Sector, has signed several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with a range of international and local institutions, strengthening its strategic partnerships in the academic, professional training, and sports sectors.

Eight of the MoUs were signed with the International Shooting Sport Federation Academy, the Badminton World Federation, the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation, the World Karate Federation, the International Obstacle Sports Federation, the World Skate Federation, Inspirit Company, Rely on Fire , and Concord-Corodex Academy.

Brigadier Badran Al Shamsi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academic Affairs and Training at Dubai Police, stated that the agreements aim to foster mutual collaboration around global best practices in training methodologies, enhance the development and certification of trainers, and promote joint efforts in fitness, sports medicine, and specialised training programmes.

“At the Academic and Training Sector, we are committed to building high-value partnerships that elevate the quality of our training ecosystem and support the development of a new generation of trainers and specialists,” he said. “These partnerships will help our personnel remain agile and responsive to the evolving challenges in both the security and sports fields.”

Institutional Excellence through Global Engagement

Brigadier Ahmad Merdas Al Muhairi, Director of the General Department of Training, noted that these agreements reflect Dubai Police’s institutional focus on global engagement and the building of strategic networks with specialised entities.

“Our training philosophy embraces innovation and continuous improvement. These MoUs are an extension of our commitment to delivering modern training programmes that produce high-quality outcomes and long-term capability development,” he said.

Supporting Talent and Athletic Development

In addition, the Dubai Police Athletes Council signed three MoUs with the Emirates Inventors Association, the UAE Boxing Federation, and the Abu Dhabi Martial Arts Academy.

Dr. Mariam Anas Al Matroushi, Chair of the Athletes Council, emphasised that the agreements, signed on the sidelines of the World Police Summit, align with the council’s goal of enhancing collaboration in athletic training, talent identification, and sports development.

“These partnerships allow us to invest in the future of sports by building structured, high-impact training programmes, fostering talent pipelines, and cultivating sustainable cooperation across institutions,” she added.
