Dubai’s ESC Holds Inaugural Meeting to Secure Dubai Airshow 2025

Dubai: His Excellency Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander in Chief for Operations and Chair of the Events Security Committee (ESC), has chaired the first planning meeting for the Dubai Airshow 2025 security operation. 

The session took place at the Dubai Police Officers Club in the presence of Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Vice Chair of the committee, along with senior officers, officials, and representatives from Dubai Police departments and stations.

Establishing the framework

Major General Al Ghaithi noted that the United Arab Emirates has earned a reputation for hosting the world's largest international events thanks to visionary leadership, integrated planning, and substantial investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure. He highlighted the country's strategic location, diverse facilities, and supportive regulatory environment, all of which ensure a smooth and attractive experience for organisers, participants, and visitors.

He emphasised the Dubai Airshow's global importance, calling it a flagship event on the international aviation calendar, and praised the committee's proven expertise in managing and securing the biennial gathering. The meeting focused on coordinating working groups, identifying requirements, and scheduling preparatory tasks to guarantee a safe and seamless event edition.

Roles and responsibilities

Major General Al Ghaithi reviewed committee mandates, team structures, and operational objectives during the meeting. He reminded members that their collective experience in previous high-profile events equips them to deliver an exceptional security plan. He also instructed the team to represent the UAE in the most distinguished manner, reflecting the nation's and the emirate's renowned standing.

 Dubai Airshow

At its previous edition, the Dubai Airshow hosted over 1400 exhibitors from 148 countries and featured over three hundred international speakers. The event fosters cooperation and technological progress, showcases trends, and promotes sustainable innovation in aviation. Highlights included aerial and static displays of commercial and military aircraft as well as demonstrations of sustainable aviation fuel applications and other forward-looking solutions.
