Dubai Police’s ‘Leadership Program’ celebrates the Graduation of 47 Leaders

Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, witnessed the graduation ceremony of 47 participants from the ‘Leadership Development’ program, which is designed to enhance the managerial and leadership skills necessary to tackle modern challenges.

The program was organized by the General Department of Training and the Committee of HR Competencies in Dubai Police in cooperation with PwC Academy. 

During the ceremony attended by Mr. Gavin Aspden, Principal Partner at PwC Academy, His Excellency Al Marri presented certificates to the graduates who completed the 16-day program over two months, totaling 75 training hours.

Al Marri congratulated the graduates and wished them continued success, highlighting the crucial role of leadership in achieving the strategic goals of Dubai Police. He also emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the policing system. 

The Commander-in-Chief commended the efforts invested in preparing the program to develop leadership and supervisory talent, as well as its organizational structure. He highlighted the significance of the program's content, which enhances the leadership skills and effectiveness of Dubai Police employees, aligning with the ongoing vision of achieving excellence and leadership through the implementation of best practices and practical strategies.

Meanwhile, Brigadier Badran Al Shamsi, Assistant Commandant for Academic and Training Affairs, underscored that the program goal is to promote knowledge and experience sharing across sectors while enhancing leadership skills. He mentioned that the program consists of eight main training modules, including topics such as strategic foresight to improve future performance, leadership excellence and resilience, building high-performance teams, performance benchmarking and its connection to strategic advantage, collaboration between the public and private sectors, data-driven decision-making using artificial intelligence, leading change, and fostering innovation and excellence in project management.

Al Shamsi praised the participants' commitment to creating a positive impact, inspiring their colleagues toward success, fulfilling the leadership vision, and promoting continuous development. He noted that the program was designed to prepare leaders from two distinct groups within the leadership and supervisory categories of Dubai Police.
