Dubai: The Positive Spirit Council at Dubai Police organised the ‘Umm Suqeim Community Forum’, featuring a diverse range of activities that attracted over 1,000 participants from various nationalities over two days.

The event, held in front of the Smart Police Station (SPS) at Umm Suqeim Beach, was organized in cooperation with Dubai Municipality, the Police Station Directors’ Council, Bur Dubai Police Station, and Dubai Media Incorporated.

The forum was attended by Ms. Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council; her deputy, Captain Saeed Ghadir; Lieutenant Nabit Sultan Al Ketbi, Supervisor of the "Your Commitment is Happiness" initiative; and Mr. Mohammad Al Hajjaji, the General Coordinator of the Positive Spirit Council.

The two-day event offered various entertainment activities for children, including the opportunity to leave their handprints on the UAE flag in celebration of ‘Union Pledge Day’. They also enjoyed drawing and sports activities alongside their families.

Additionally, the forum included informative lectures on contacting Dubai Police in case of emergencies at the toll-free number 999 and for non-emergencies at 901. These sessions introduced the "Support Victim’ service, discussed traffic safety laws, and showcased the community services available at the Smart Police Station (SPS).

The forum attendees had the opportunity to meet the police mascot, Officer Mansour, from the Security Awareness Department. They enjoyed performances by the Dubai Police band, which played various musical pieces, and took memorable photos with the luxury patrols on display.

Meanwhile, Ms. Fatima Buhajeer highlighted that the initiatives organized by the Positive Spirit Council align with Dubai Police's strategic goal of enhancing community happiness and promoting safety and security. These initiatives also focus on improving the quality of life, fostering social harmony, and instilling values of tolerance, coexistence, and respect for others.
