Dubai: Dubai Police, represented by the Positive Spirit Council, organized the ‘Abu Hail Community Forum’ to enhance awareness of Dubai Police services and communication channels within communities, benefiting over 500 members of the Chadian community.

The event was held in collaboration with the Al Muraqqabat Police Station, the "Policeman in Your Neighbourhood" initiative, and other strategic partners, taking place at the Hemaya School for Boys field.

Ms. Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council, noted that this forum is part of a series of events organized by the council in cooperation with police stations in Dubai. “These efforts aim to raise awareness of security, traffic, and criminal issues among various communities in Dubai, working alongside both internal and external partners through various lectures, events, and programs,” she added.

Ms. Buhajeer stated, "The forum organization underscores the Dubai Police’s commitment to fostering communication with community members of all nationalities and ages through impactful community, sports, and awareness initiatives. These efforts aim to achieve the Dubai Police's strategic goals of creating a happy community, enhancing security and safety, and promoting essential social values. Additionally, they focus on improving quality of life, encouraging social harmony, and reinforcing the principles of tolerance, coexistence, and respect for others."

The forum was attended by First Lieutenant Jumaa Al Maqbali, Acting Head of the Cultural Diversity Section at the General Directorate of Community Happiness, along with several officers and employees from the participating general departments.

The forum featured informative lectures from the General Department of Traffic, focusing on adhering to traffic laws and promoting public safety. It also introduced the "Support Victim" service and explained how to report cybercrimes using the e-Crime platform from the General Department of Criminal Investigation.

Additionally, participants received important information from the General Department of Operations regarding the critical need to use the emergency number 999 for urgent situations and 901 for non-urgent inquiries. The forum also focused on human rights awareness and highlighted Dubai Police's security, criminal-related, and traffic services available through the Dubai Police smart app and website.

At the end of the event, the Chadian community expressed their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Dubai Police for the informative lectures and awareness programs that greatly enhanced their understanding of the available services.
