Dubai: Dubai Police, represented by the General Department of Community Happiness and the Dubai Police Academy, is set to participate in the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair, commencing tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Sharjah Expo Center under the theme ‘Between You and a Book’.

Dubai Police’s participation in the fair highlights its strategic commitment to fostering a cultural and intellectual presence at events and exhibitions. This involvement reinforces its role as a vital source of knowledge and enlightenment for various segments of the community.

Scientific and Knowledge-Based Books
Brigadier Dr. Sultan Al Jammal, Director of the Dubai Police Academy, stated that the academy's participation in the Sharjah International Book Fair reflects the Academy’s dedication to fostering a culture of law and security, as well as raising community awareness about the importance of knowledge in building a comprehensive security framework that protects national achievements.

Al Jammal indicated that this fair is an opportunity to demonstrate the Academy’s role as a leading academic institution in training and preparing police and scientific personnel to meet future demands. Furthermore, he highlighted that the academy's stand showcases an impressive collection of specialized legal, security, and police publications, enriching Arabic scientific content and providing valuable resources for researchers and students in the fields of justice and security.

‘Khalid’ Meaningful Messages
Meanwhile, Ms. Zainab Hussain, Editor-in-Chief of ‘Khalid’ magazine for children—published monthly by the Security Media Department of the General Department of Community Happiness for over 30 years—expressed that Dubai Police's involvement in the fair aligns with a sustainable media vision dedicated to instilling values of awareness and responsibility in younger generations.

She noted that the fair offers an excellent platform to engage with a diverse audience of children and youth in a meaningful and educational manner. "At Dubai Police, we are committed to ensuring our participation is impactful, delivering messages that promote discipline, a love for reading, and respect for the law in a kind and appealing way. Security awareness begins in childhood, and it is our responsibility to nurture this understanding smartly and innovatively," she concluded.
