- November 06, 2025
Dubai: The Dubai Police's stand for children has welcomed visitors at the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair, held at the Expo Centre Sharjah, aiming to instill values of awareness and responsibility among younger generations through interactive games, digital competitions, and illustrated stories.
Ms. Zainab Hussain, Editor-in-Chief of "Khalid" magazine for children—published monthly by the Security Media Department for over 30 years—highlighted that Dubai Police's participation in the fair reflects a sustainable media vision focused on reinforcing awareness and responsibility among youth.
She noted that the fair serves as an ideal platform to engage a diverse audience of children and young people in a cultural and educational context. "At Dubai Police, we aim for our participation to be impactful and meaningful, delivering messages that promote discipline, a love for reading, and respect for the law in an accessible and appealing manner. Since security awareness begins in childhood, we believe it is our duty to help shape the understanding of this age group innovatively and effectively," Hussain stated.
Furthermore, she pointed out that this year’s stand design was made based on children's interests and needs, integrating interactive learning and play methods. "Our goal is to create a well-rounded experience at the fair that is both educational and entertaining. That’s why we’ve included interactive games and digital competitions alongside copies of the magazine,” Hussain continued.
Dubai Police's participation this year features a variety of interactive and digital games tailored for children, including competitions, awareness questions, and the distribution of commemorative gifts, along with engaging educational segments. Exclusive printed copies of a special issue of "Khalid" magazine for children will also be available during the fair. Additionally, visitors to the stand will have the chance to meet Officer Mansour, the Dubai Police’s mascot, who will share fun security and awareness messages.
Dubai Police is also participating through the Safe Ambassadors Council, where the ambassadors connect with children at the stand to promote communication and share awareness messages about children's rights and protection against various societal challenges, especially bullying, cyber extortion, and other negative behaviors. They engagingly convey these messages, utilizing direct dialogue, storytelling, and interactive activities.
