Dubai: Dubai Police celebrated the graduation of 88 officers and civilians who completed a range of leadership preparation programmes designed to build the next generation of police and community leaders.
Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, attended the ceremony alongside Major General Hareb Muhammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, Major General Dr Ahmad Zaal Almuhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Dubai Police assistant commandants.
Lieutenant General Al Marri congratulated the graduates and said that these programmes reflect the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He noted that the programmes help prepare future leaders who can shape the future, manage challenges with confidence, and continue the country’s journey of progress. He also highlighted the support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, who directed the organisation of the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum as an annual platform to promote leadership development across Dubai Government.
He added that the graduation of these promising national talents reflects Dubai Police’s long-term investment in people and its commitment to empowering young individuals who will carry forward the organisation’s mission and support the nation’s achievements. He explained that leadership excellence begins with preparing confident decision makers equipped with knowledge, skills, and exposure to global best practices in security, safety, and innovation.
During the event, Lieutenant General Al Marri emphasised Dubai Police’s ongoing efforts to support and expand these programmes, which help develop emerging leaders and strengthen the second and third lines of leadership across all police units. He said this approach ensures strong continuity, readiness for the future, and alignment with the leadership’s vision to prepare capable and forward-thinking national leaders.
The graduates had completed several advanced programmes, including executive and supervisory leadership qualifications, the Leadership Preparation Programme, the Influential Leaders Programme, the Global Business Leader Programme, the UAE Youth Leaders Programme, and the Future Leaders Programme. These programmes were delivered in partnership with leading government and private sector organisations to equip Dubai Police with a new generation of highly qualified leaders.
