Dubai Foundation for Women and Children Secures Silver Category in \'Ethraa\' Program

Dubai: The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has proudly announced its achievement of the Silver Category under "Ethraa", the Empowerment Program for Non-Profit Organization launched by the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai. This achievement marks a significant milestone in DFWAC’s ongoing journey of excellence.  Ethraa, one of the flagship national programs, aims to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of social work and advance the performance of non-profit organizations in line with the best global practices.

This recognition highlights the Foundation’s efforts and commitment to redefining social care as a comprehensive system of awareness that extends beyond service delivery to include trust-building, the empowerment of vindividuals, and the creation of sustainable social impact. This approach goes beyond immediate response to focus on improving quality of life over the long term, particularly for the most vulnerable groups of women and children.

Shaikha Saeed Al Mansoori, Acting Director General of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, said: “Winning the “Ethraa” Award is a testament to the Foundation’s people-centered approach to social work, which places humans at its core and regards them as its highest value. She underscored that the Foundation views care as a comprehensive process that begins with a deep understanding of individual needs and extends to empowerment, the safeguarding of dignity, and the creation of a safe and stable surrounding environment.

H.E Shaikha Al Mansoori added: “At the Foundation, we believe that the true value of institutional work is not measured by the volume of achievements or the number of initiatives, but by the depth of transformative impact these efforts create in the lives of beneficiaries. It is also reflected in the ability to move beyond temporary solutions toward sustainable models that are efficiently managed, impact-driven, and built on informed and responsible partnerships.”

She noted that this achievement aligns directly with Dubai Social Agenda 33, which has laid social development as a dynamic ecosystem capable of responding to changes, creating long-term impact, and embedding sustainability through investment in human capital as the core pillar for building a cohesive and prosperous society.

She underlined that the “Ethraa” Award represents a renewed responsibility for the Foundation to continue developing work models, strengthening the efficiency of its care ecosystem, and deepening social impact, guided by greater awareness, a more mature vision, and a firm belief that building the future begins with caring for people today.

H.E Shaikha Al Mansoori commended the professional efforts of the Foundation’s team, reaffirming that the achievement reflects a strong spirit of commitment and teamwork within the integrated care ecosystem.

She confirmed the Foundation’s readiness for 2026, which has been designated the “Year of the Family” in the UAE under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in alignment with the National Family Growth Agenda 2031. The Foundation will support the Year of the Family through tailored programs to strengthen family bonds, support parents, and empower youth, underscoring the family’s role as the cornerstone of a strong and prosperous society.
