Advanced operations and measurable impact

During the session, attendees reviewed key performance indicators, including case volumes, arrests, and drug seizures recorded in the first quarter of 2026. The data highlighted the force’s continued success in dismantling trafficking networks and intercepting illicit substances across the emirate.

Major General Al Shamsi praised officers and personnel for their dedication, conveying appreciation from His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, for their role in safeguarding the community and maintaining high levels of safety and security.

Technology-driven prevention

Dubai Police continue to invest in cutting-edge tools, including artificial intelligence systems, to enhance surveillance, data analysis, and predictive policing. These technologies support early detection of criminal activity and strengthen the readiness of specialised teams to counter evolving trafficking methods.

Al Shamsi stressed the importance of continuous training and future-focused strategies, noting that adapting to emerging criminal trends is essential to maintaining Dubai’s global standing as a safe and secure city.

Global cooperation and digital enforcement

Highlighting international efforts, Brigadier bin Muwaiza confirmed that Dubai Police shared 90 intelligence reports with partner countries during the same period, leading to the arrest of several suspects abroad.

Locally, authorities intensified their digital crackdown, successfully identifying and blocking 110 websites promoting drug-related activities. In addition, six targeted operations led to the arrest of several suspects involved in trafficking and distribution across the emirate.
