Memorandum of Understanding between Emirates Scholar Center and IMPACT-se

Abu Dhabi: On the sidelines of the 3rd International Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance Conference 2026, hosted by Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies and held in Abu Dhabi from 3 to 5 June, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies and the IMPACT-se & Monitor Impact Education Services. The agreement aims to strengthen research and academic cooperation and develop joint projects and initiatives that support civilizational dialogue, promote scientific research and innovation, and contribute to building knowledge-based economies founded on research and development.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director General and Board of Trustees Member of Emirates Scholar Center, and Mr. Marcus Sheff, CEO of IMPACT-se & Monitor Impact Education Services. The agreement seeks to advance cooperation in research and scientific fields through the preparation of joint studies, research papers, and reports, the exchange of expertise among researchers and specialists, and the organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Areas of cooperation also include the exchange of perspectives and ideas on contemporary research issues, the development of scientific and community initiatives that promote awareness and knowledge, the empowerment of researchers and academics, support for scientific publishing, the exchange of publications and research, and enhanced collaboration with local and international partners on issues of mutual interest.

Commenting on the agreement, Dr. Fawaz Habbal stated: “This Memorandum of Understanding reflects our shared commitment to harnessing the power of research and education to advance peace and cultural tolerance within educational curricula. It clearly embodies the vision of our wise leadership, which places human development and intellectual growth at the forefront of its priorities, while supporting initiatives aimed at preparing future generations capable of building bridges of communication and understanding among peoples, thereby contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals at both the local and global levels”.

For his part, Mr. Marcus Sheff said: “We are thrilled to sign this Memorandum of Understanding with the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, which underscores our joint belief in the power of education to shape more productive and peaceful societies. Together, we will innovate, create initiatives and insightful projects which advance knowledge, understanding and dialogue. Ultimately, these joint efforts will help to deliver curricula and educational environments which foster respect and tolerance for generations to come”.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding reflects both parties’ commitment to expanding avenues of academic and research collaboration and unifying efforts in support of scientific and knowledge-based initiatives with meaningful societal impact. The partnership will contribute to the development of joint research projects, the exchange of expertise, and the establishment of effective partnerships that advance sustainable development goals and strengthen a culture of dialogue and mutual understanding among diverse communities.

This agreement further demonstrates the commitment of Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies and IMPACT-se & Monitor Impact Education Services to advancing international scientific cooperation and leveraging research and knowledge as tools for sustainable development and intercultural engagement. It also aligns with the vision of the United Arab Emirates in promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence, and international cooperation.
