Dubai: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is showcasing a range of training and specialist programmes and employment opportunities during its participation in Ru'ya Careers UAE 2026, as part of its continuing efforts to attract and develop national talent and to strengthen their contribution to the development and sustainability of the health sector.

During the exhibition, the Authority is highlighting the Nokhba programme and its medical education and training pathways, which include the internship programme and the residency and fellowship programmes, alongside 529 job opportunities offered by the Authority in cooperation with six private healthcare facilities across a range of medical, technical and administrative specialisations. This strengthens the partnership between the government and private sectors in attracting national talent and broadening the career options and pathways available to them.

The Authority's participation is accompanied by interactive workshops and sessions throughout the exhibition, introducing jobseekers to the programmes and the employment and training opportunities available in the health sector, the requirements for joining them, and how to strengthen their readiness for the labour market.

A dedicated session on building a professional identity on LinkedIn will also be held, introducing participants to ways of strengthening their professional presence, exploring trends and perspectives in the health sector, and developing how they present their experience and career history on the platform.

A long-term investment in national talent

Dr Khawla Al Hajaj, Director of the Medical Education and Research Department at Dubai Health Authority, said that investing in national talent is a long-term investment in the future of the health sector, noting the importance of attracting Emiratis to health professions and specialisations and developing them through advanced training and career pathways that meet the sector's needs and its future developments.

She said: "We are committed to ensuring that our efforts to attract national talent go beyond providing job opportunities, to building complete career pathways founded on education, training, specialisation and continuous development. This enables Emirati talent to gain knowledge, skills and experience, and encourages more of the nation's sons and daughters to choose health specialisations and build their careers in them."

She added that the medical education and training system contributes to building and developing qualified national talent in the specialisations the health sector needs, and to supplying it with expertise capable of keeping pace with global developments in health sciences and practice, strengthening the sustainability of human capital in the health sector.

The Nokhba programme

Noura Al Midfa, Director of the Human Resources Department at Dubai Health Authority, said the Nokhba programme aims to attract national talent and train them over 12 months under the supervision of specialist experts. High performers are then assessed and appointed to vacant positions in line with the Authority's actual needs.

Al Midfa added that the Authority's participation in Ru'ya 2026 allows it to engage directly with national talent, understand their capabilities and ambitions, and introduce them to the career and training opportunities and pathways available, as well as to conduct interviews during the exhibition for the various roles and specialisations on offer.

This contributes to attracting national talent, supporting the Authority's Emiratisation plans and programmes, and sustaining expertise in the health sector.
