Singapore: StarDream Cruises, home to StarCruises and Dream Cruises, has been named “Best Cruise Line – Asia” at the Travel Weekly Asia 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards held in Singapore, alongside “Best Cruise Line – Entertainment”, giving the cruise line double honours at this year’s awards and winning both awards for the second consecutive year. The recognition comes at a significant time for StarDream Cruises, which has more than 30 years of cruising experience in Asia and continues to offer a diverse range of Asian and international experiences at sea.

“Being named Best Cruise Line – Asia, alongside Best Cruise Line – Entertainment, for the second consecutive year is especially meaningful because Asia has always been at the heart of our journey. These awards are a wonderful recognition of the passion and dedication of our team, as well as the support of our partners and the continued trust of our guests. We are grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey and helped us bring more memorable experiences to the sea,” said Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises.

The “Best Cruise Line – Entertainment” recognition reflects StarDream Cruises’ focus on creating a diverse line-up of experiences that appeal to guests across Asia. From local favourites and Asian-inspired experiences such as Durian Parties, Sakura Cruises, Pili Puppet shows and more, to culinary personalities including Chef Wan and Chef Mel, entertainment is woven into the onboard experience in different ways. Building from its Asian roots, StarDream Cruises also brings international entertainment onboard, from fitness personality Amotti to “Forever Broadway” with Broadway Asia International. The line-up continues to evolve with K-pop group KIIRAS performing aboard Genting Dream from 25 to 27 October 2026, followed by a new ice-skating experience under the stars this December.

Together, the two accolades reflect the breadth of the StarDream Cruises experience — bringing Asia closer through more than 50 destinations explored to date, while giving guests more to discover, experience and enjoy onboard.

Dream Cruises brings a more expansive and experiential approach to cruising, with its flagship, Genting Dream, sailing year-round from Singapore and offering additional sailings from Kuala Lumpur (via Port Klang) and Melaka. Whether setting sail from home or discovering somewhere new along the way, guests can experience these ports as both starting points and destinations, alongside popular Southeast Asian ports including Phuket, Penang, Bali and more.

With the StarCruises fleet centred on exploration, guests can enjoy a more intimate cruise experience aboard its mid-sized ships, Star Voyager and Star Navigator, while discovering more of Asia by sea. Sailing year-round from Keelung with select departures from Kaohsiung, Star Navigator offers a variety of 2 to 5 Night roundtrip cruises to destinations across Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong, giving guests the opportunity to experience multiple destinations in a single journey, with the ease and convenience of unpacking just once.

Meanwhile, Star Voyager sets sail from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (via Port Klang) to popular destinations including Phuket, Krabi, Pangkor, Langkawi and more. In March 2027, Star Voyager will offer special 4 Night Cruises between Jakarta and Singapore for the Eid festive season, giving guests the flexibility to sail from either city while enjoying a relaxing holiday at sea.

The Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards recognise leading travel and hospitality brands across the Asia-Pacific region, with winners selected through voting by Travel Weekly Asia readers and travel industry professionals.
