Dubai: The UAE made a great start to Emirates Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup campaign, defeating Spain 4-3 on the opening night at Kite Beach on Tuesday.

Organized by Dubai Sports Council in collaboration with the Beach Soccer Committee in FIFA, the eleventh edition of Emirates Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup, take place at Kite Beach until November 6 with the participation of the top eight teams in the world: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Iran, Japan, Spain, US and Paraguay.

HE Saeed Hareb, Dubai Sport Council Secretary General and Mohammed bin Hazam, Secretary General of Emirates Football Association attended the first day along with Nasser Aman Al Rahma, Assistant Secretary General of Dubai Sport Council and Ali Omar Al Belooshi, Director of the Organizing Committee of the cup and Ahmed Salem Al Muhairi, Assistant Director of the Organizing Committee.

Japan defeated US 3-1 on the first day while Brazil won Saudi Arabia 6-0.

The UAE national beach soccer team will face Saudi Arabia team at 6:45 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, during the second day of Emirates Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup.

The second day of the tournament will have three other matches between Japan and Paraguay at 4 PM, and Brazil against Spain at 5:15 PM.

Iran, three titles winner, will play against the US at 8 PM.

On Thursday, November 3, the UAE national team will have a strong match against Brazil, the winner of the title in 2014, 2016, and 2017 and five times world champion in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2017.

Despite the young team members in the FIFA team, the council team by Ali Omar, the director of the organizing committee managed to win by 7-1.
