Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, visited the Dubai Police stand at the Dubai Airshow 2023, one of the world's leading aviation events, in the presence of Major General Pilot Ahmad Mohammed Bin Thani, Assistant Commander for Seaports & Airports Affairs, Major General Ali Atiq bin Lahej, Director of the General Department of Airports Security and a number of senior officers,. He explored the latest technological innovations in information technology, smart services, and artificial intelligence systems.

His Excellency praised the efforts of the Dubai Police teams and their commitment to showcasing the achievements of Dubai Police at one of the most important global exhibitions in the aviation sector. He emphasized that these events enhance Dubai's international reputation and its leading position, highlighting the support it provides at all security, economic, and regulatory levels.

Smart Vehicle M02

Al Marri has also inspected the self-driving smart vehicle, M02, developed by national talents in the Research and Development Department of Dubai Police. This intelligent patrol vehicle is designed to work in local communities to ensure public safety and security. The vehicle is equipped with artificial intelligence technologies, including facial recognition, license plate and suspect recognition, behavior-reading and analysis, motion detection, and the ability to identify and analyze suspected individuals.

The vehicle also stands out with its ability to operate continuously for 15 hours with a high-definition 360-degree camera, and sensors that enable it to read its surroundings, stop, and change its path if it encounters an obstacle.

Smart Services

His Excellency also had a brief on other police services, including the non-emergency hotline 901, dedicated to handling non-emergency cases and responding to inquiries from the public. He also learned about the e-Crime platform for reporting cybercrimes confidentially and securely, the Dubai Police smart application, and the smart police stations that provide services to the public 24/7 without human intervention. Additionally, the Dubai Police Systems of Unmanned Aircraft Center showcased the latest technologies used in the field.

Vertical Aircraft "AW 139"

The Dubai Police participation also included a display of the Italian-made vertical aircraft, "AW 139," which supports security, traffic, rescue, and critical transportation operations. It contributes to providing fast security services that serve the community, as well as rapid deployment and rescue operations using the crane. The aircraft has the capability to perform multiple tasks, including air ambulance services, transporting specialized teams, search and rescue teams. This versatile equipment ensures a quick response to emergency situations.

The aircraft is also used for VIP transportation, and it stands out with its long flight range, speed, and state-of-the-art cameras that provide live streaming to the Command and Control Room at Dubai Police. It is also equipped with the necessary tools and devices for medical transportation, enhancing performance in all operations that require helicopter support.
