Rich tributes were paid to soldiers of Hyderabad Lancers and other Commonwealth Nations

Hyderabad: Rich tributes were paid to soldiers of Hyderabad Lancers and other Commonwealth Nations, who lost their lives during World War I, at the World War I Memorial near Victory Play Ground (VPG) in Chaderghat on Sunday. It was organised under the auspices of the British Deputy High Commission, Hyderabad, in coordination with INTACH Hyderabad Chapter. Remembrance Day is an annual event held every November 12. Honouring the martyrs during a solemn ceremony was British Deputy High Commissioner, HE Gareth Wynn Owen, who placed a wreath at the memorial and paid respects. Also paying homage on the occasion were Wg. Cdr. Joseph from the Royal Air Force and P. Anuradha Reddy, chairperson of INTACH Hyderabad.
