5 All-Women Teams Compete in the UAE SWAT Challenge 2024

Dubai: Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Deputy Director of the General Department for Protective Security and Emergencies for Security Affairs and Head of the Organising Committee for the UAE SWAT Challenge, confirmed that the UAE SWAT Challenge 2024, which will take place from February 3 to 7 at Al Ruwayyah Training Facility in Dubai, is not limited to male teams but also includes female teams.

He pointed out that there will be five female teams participating in the challenge, including four teams participating for the first time: the Abu Dhabi Police Women's Team, the Belarus Ministry of Interior team "MAZ", the Chilean Police Investigations Team "BRT", and a team from the Kingdom of Thailand.

Al Ketbi noted that the participation of female officers will bring a qualitative addition to this type of specialised championship. He mentioned that the four new teams will join the Dubai Police All-Women SWAT team and participate for the second time in the UAE SWAT Challenge 2024.

Al Ketbi wished success to the teams in achieving positive results, gaining more experience in tactical team operations, and learning about the latest global practices in the field of rapid intervention unit teams.
