Dubai: During his inspection of the General Department of Airport Security at Dubai International Airport, His Excellency Major General Harb Mohammed Al Shamsi, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, reviewed the latest security systems and smart technologies implemented to ensure the safety and protection of civil aviation.

The visit is part of Dubai Police's commitment to enhancing security readiness and implementing best practices from around the globe.

He was received by His Excellency Major General Marwan Jalfar, Acting Assistant Commandant for Ports Affairs, along with Brigadier Expert Hamid Mohammed Al Hashemi, Director of the General Department of Airport Security, his deputy Brigadier Hamad Ahmed Bin Dilan, and several senior officers and employees.

During the visit, Al Shamsi reviewed the role of the Aviation Security Risk Analysis and Assessment Center and its future plans to enhance proactive capabilities for identifying and analyzing potential risks. He also examined the latest advancements in smart systems for central inspection devices, which aim to improve the efficiency of security operations and streamline procedures while upholding the highest standards of accuracy.

Furthermore, Al Shamsi also explored the advanced systems for tracking and securing checked luggage, representing a significant advancement in ensuring the safety of air cargo operations and the smooth handling of baggage. Additionally, he inspected the modern security systems at airports and the future development plan for Al Maktoum International Airport, which aims to strengthen the security infrastructure in line with anticipated growth in air traffic.

At the end of the visit, Al Shamsi recognized exemplary employees within the Force for their outstanding contributions and exceptional efforts in key operations that have strengthened the security framework and reinforced Dubai Police's reputation as a leading entity in the security sector.

He reaffirmed Dubai Police’s commitment to adopting the latest innovations and smart technologies while continuously developing its personnel, ensuring that Dubai remains one of the safest and most efficient airports in the world.
